When figuring out how to calculate the pouch size, you should consider two important things.
Firstly, you need to confirm the width, height and gusset of the pouch. Once the third size is listed,
you know the pouch contain a gusset.
When measuring a gusseted pouch,
it’s recommended to open the pouch and measure the bottom of the pouch from front to back to get an accurate dimensions.
It is worth noting that some manufacturers think that 1/2 of the measured length is the size of the gusset,
while others will specify the length of the entire gusset in the correct size. Secondly,
the measurement of the pouch is always based on the external dimensions, as shown in the follow figure.
