The glue quantity in dry laminating technology
The amount of glue is per square meter of the substrate area on the number of mass dry base adhesive (generally expressed by g/m²). The general theoretical significance of adhesive amount and bonding strength: the peel strength increases with the increase of adhesive amount; But when the amount of glue reaches a certain degree, the corresponding peeling strength is relatively slow down. The amount of glue on the peel strength to increase the significance of little, but tends to a balanced number.
However, the peel strength is affected by many factors, and it cannot be mechanically believed that the greater the amount of glue, the better the peel strength. In production, there are many cases in which the peeling strength decreases after the amount of glue increases. The amount of glue must match the drying capacity of the equipment and the structure of the packaging material. The amount of glue is meaningful. If the drying capacity of the equipment is relatively insufficient, it is better to reduce the amount of glue, delamination, wrinkling phenomenon will be less. The amount of glue must correspond to the quality requirements of the product. The amount of glue will bring unnecessary increase in the cost of glue, and the insufficient amount of glue will increase the quality risk of the product.
