The sealing performance of functional design of flexible packaging
Sealing performance is the property of the packaging bags to prevent the entry of other substances or the escape of the contents. For flexible packaging that needs to have sealing performance, the packaging materials used shall not have any defects such as pinholes, cracks, unsealed and unsealed at the seal that affect the sealing performance.
Typical packaging that requires sealing performance are: moisture-proof packaging, such as biscuit packaging bags, inflatable packaging bags, and vacuum packaging bags. For heat-sealed packaging, in order to avoid leakage at the heat seal, in addition to having good packaging machinery and controlling the packaging process, it is also necessary to select heat-sealing materials with good heat-sealing properties (especially anti-pollution heat-sealing properties). The thickness of the heat sealing layer and the thickness of the packaging material must also be appropriate.
In practice, there is still a kind of semi-leakage of packaging leakage, that is to say, in the process of forming, filling, heat sealing, sterilization, transportation and sales of packaged products, although there is no perforation leakage phenomenon that communicates inside and outside, its high barrier layer ( Such as aluminum foil, SiOx barrier coating or plating) has created cracks or pinholes. Semi-leakage will seriously affect the overall sealing performance of the package and is a factor that cannot be ignored in the packaging process.
