Ink Transfer(Reverse Adhesion) Issues &Solutions
Ink Transfer(Reverse Adhesion) Issues &Solutions
Reverse adhesion refers to the phenomenon where the printed surface of the substrate adheres to itself or to the non-printed side, resulting in ink loss. This can occur due to incomplete drying of the ink, excessive tension during winding, or inadequate cooling of the rollers. High resin viscosity in the ink can also be a contributing factor.
Solutions for Reverse Adhesion:
Improve ink drying properties by reducing the amount of slow-drying solvents and increasing drying airflow.
Lower the winding pressure.
Decrease the temperature of the cooling rollers.
